On Feb. 22, 2021, NASA released the first audio ever recorded on the surface of Mars. The audio was captured by its Perseverance rover, which landed on Mars Feb. 18, 2021.

Foxanne took those audio samples and, within less than a day, produced a song using this historic audio data. At the time of release, it is the first song recorded and released using this Martian audio.
